Meet the Staff
Center Stage Pianos is locally owned and operated by Doug Kraus, Piano Technician and Restoration Specialist. Located just outside of Utica, we service the Mohawk Valley and Central New York with over 50 years of combined experience. The entire staff of Center Stage Music brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from their various backgrounds as technicians, musicians and teachers. Doug Kraus
Owner, Piano Technician/Restoration Specialist
Doug Kraus initially joined Stage Music Pianos in 1993 and in 2010 launched his own business, Center Stage Pianos. His fascination with pianos was rooted in his love of music and fueled by an interest in applied physics. Doug has a lifetime of musical experience as a Principal French Hornist and as a Lead Guitarist and has put this to his advantage to become a highly skilled and experienced piano tuner. Doug's additional experience in the realm of Physics has served him very well in his development as a Piano Rebuiding Specialist.
Suzanne Kraus
Service Scheduling & Accounts Manager
Suzanne has worked behind the scenes at Center Stage Pianos since it opened in 2010. With a background in insurance, finance and customer service she is ready to help you make an appointment or find the piano that meets your current needs. She has accompanied several musical ensembles and is currently a pianist at a local church.
Eric Paniccia
Piano Technician & Moving Specialist
Eric is a Piano Technician and Bassist whose music interests range from Bach to Charles Mingus and more. Since joining Center Stage Pianos, Eric has honed his exceptional aptitude for detail and good ear for pitch to become a very skilled piano tuner and technician under the direction of Doug Kraus. He is also one of our Moving Specialist.
